working with metal again

Wed Aug 5, 2009, 2:37 PM
I think it is important for any artist to exercise their eye in many mediums.
I am working with metal right now, doing a single speed bike; concentrating on the
simplicity and function.

It has always been a goal of mine to create minimalistic art, and do it well. Adding the mechanical complexity is necessary to fulfill the engineer trapped in side me.

I will post images of the finished work, might even do some graphics in the background. I guess it depends what time allows.

The Karmic one thanks you, and feel you might be a Ubuntu kind of guy. I should post my wall paper idea. The Koala is only part of the design.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

It's a test kernel build. not really anything new, a lot of bugs still, but that is to be expected. from what I hear from developers the hot-plugging will be significantly improved. I love Ubuntu, but I have a favorite in puppy Linux. Arch Linux is another that I like, and although the dbg-ing' support is good, it lacks in compatibility with some apps I like, too much fiddling to be my everyday machine.
